As a family, my wife, myself and our three children have been camping for 30 years and have used numerous styles of mattresses during this time. I recently 'camped' for 3 days on a tinnie in the Northern Territory and slept on a borrowed regular Thermarest Luxury Map. The mattress was thin but gave great support and I slept well. The mattress also took up very little space. I was so impressed with this mattress I returned home and purchased 2 extra large Thermarest Map Mattresses and replaced the foam mattresses in my wife and my swags. My only issue was I should have just bought the large size mattress as I had to modify both swags to fit the width of the extra large mattress. My mistake and nothing to do with the mattress.
